With summer vacation in full swing, Malia[1] and Sasha Obama[2] are taking advantage of their time off from school and accompanying their mother Michelle Obama, on a trip to Europe. The First Lady is traveling to several cities to promote her Let Girls Learn[3] initiative, aimed at strengthening educational opportunities for girls around the world. Their first stop on the trip, London, included tea with Prince Harry[4], and a trip to 10 Downing Street, the UK equivalent of the White House.
The girls have continually impressed us with their excellent sense of style[5], a skill they no doubt picked up from their mother, Michelle Obama. For their visit to the Prime Minister's office, both girls opted for fit and flare knee length dresses by Kate Spade New York. Malia chose a bright, watermelon red hue cut in a delicate lace, while Sasha opted for a robin's egg blue dress with a matching sweater. Their choices are youthful and age-appropriate, and perfect for summer!
If Michelle's influence on fashion is any indication (pieces that she wears tend to sell out in minutes!), Malia and Sasha are on their way to becoming style icons in their own right—and we have a feeling that won't be the only mark they will leave on the world.
