Canadians can buy the unlocked Lumia 535 from the Microsoft Store for $179

Microsoft has yet to officially sell the Lumia 535^[1] smartphone in the US, and no wireless carrier has yet to put the budget device on sale in the States. However, Microsoft^[2] has decided to give our neighbors in Canada a way to get an unlocked Lumia 535 from the company's retail store site for $179.

This is the first official appearance of the phone being sold in North America, although third-party retailer Expansys USA started selling the international version of the Lumia 535 way back in November^[3]. Here's a quick recap of the phone's hardware specs:

• 5-inch IPS LCD (960 x 540)
• 1.2 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200
• 1 GB RAM
• 8 GB storage
• MicroSD card support (Up to 128 GB)
• 1905 mAh battery
