They say that women control 80 percent of consumer spending in the United States, and yet every dollar bill we use has a man's face on it. But that's all about to change. CNN Money[1] is reporting that the US Treasury Department is redesigning the $10 bill, and the new look will feature a woman!

So, it won't actually be printed and in our wallets until 2020, but we'll take what we can get. Although the 2020 date is kind of perfect since that's the 100th anniversary of the Constitution's 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote.

But Alexander Hamilton won't be forgotten. The man who developed the nation's financial system will either be incorporated into the bill too, perhaps on the reverse side, or be featured in another version of the bill.

Current Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is in charge of making the decision of which historical boss lady is actually going to get this honor, but he's asking for input from everyone. Soon, there will be a website to receive suggestions, but in the meantime, you can tweet your ideas with the hashtag #TheNew10. The only criteria is that the woman represent American democracy and be no longer living (it's the law.) Some names that are being thrown around include Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Harriet Tubman.

The decision could come as early as this fall. Who are you rooting for? Tell us in the comments!
