Last night, Elizabeth Arden introduced a room of editors to Model Karlina Caune[1], its new global face. Besides looking like a young Michelle Pfeiffer, there are a lot of reasons to love this up-and-comer who's about to be in the brand's ads everywhere. To get you more acquainted, here are a things to know about her:
-She was born in Riga, Latvia.
-She's a tough chick. She told Vogue[2] that joining an military training group in her teen years and considered going the field before her modeling took off.
-She was the winner[3] of the Ford Supermodel of the World 2010 which took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
-She's walked the runways of designers like Stella McCartney, Céline and Miu Miu
-She loves to cook. She told Nylon[4], "Winter is more for heavy, French cooking. I love soup, but I don't really cook that much soup because my mom is great at making them. I always screw them up. The last thing I tried to make was a tomato soup...it went from the stove right down the toilet."
