Being a size that's just a little left or right of average can make shopping for basics a headache. Petite women are faced with cuts that could drastically change if tailored to fit their frames, while women with feet over a size 10 are forever bemoaning how few shoe options there are (and what is available isn't necessarily that stylish).
For Women 5'4 and Under
Reformation's "Don't Call Me Cute" range is back with new items, all designed from the beginning with tiny frames in mind. The new collection, featuring tops, skirts, and dresses with a campaign starring (tiny) blogger Always Judging blogger Courtney Trop, will be available to shop on Monday.
For Women With Feet Size 10 and Up
Athletic sisters Kendall and Justine Barber were tired of a never-ending search for shoes that fit and would still look good, leading them to create Poppy Barley. Every pair the girls offer extend to a size 12 and are available in narrow, standard, and wide widths. The only catch? Since they're handcrafted to order in Mexico, you'll need about a month between order and delivery (file it under the "good problems to have" category).
For Women 5'4" to 5'8"
The fashion-loving world is having a major moment with flare jeans right now, so much so that most of us are willing to ignore the fact that nearly every single pair requires a trip to the tailor. Now, 7 For All Mankind is working to remove the extra stitch step, introducing a range called Tailorless that's crafted for average-length stems. The current accepted norm for flares is a 35-inch inseam (which correlates to a 5'9 woman), and petite offerings are made for ladies 5'3 and under, leaving an expanse in the middle where the average height American female sits. The new styles will have an inseam of 32 to 33 inches and will hit stores in August.
