Imagine belting out Ed Sheeran[1]'s "Thinking Out Loud" at karaoke when he swoops in and makes it a surprise duet. That's exactly what happened to a young fan at the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada, over the weekend. She was minding her own business, singing his hit song on a small stage—what, you don't do that at the mall?—when he just casually popped up next to her.
Surprisingly, she didn't completely lose her mind and was able to continue the performance with him by her side. He took the lead for some lines while she did for others, and he came up with on-the-spot harmonies for a duet that will give you chills.
Murray Cummings, Ed's cousin and frequent videographer, recorded everything—from Ed getting ready to surprise her to the actual performance. Can he hit up our mall next? We'll warm up our vocal chords now.
